Merch Idea Submissions
Help us create cool merch!
We get requests for Wild Heart Society merch pretty frequently, but we’re therapists! Not designers. BUT! We know that so many of you are fantastic artists and creatives and we’d love to be able to have merch that you actually helped create. Also, if we make your design, we’ll split the profit with you 50/50. The 50% we keep will go into a special fund to support trans youth through community events, scholarships and buying gender affirming gear for people. So it’s kind of like you win twice.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Designs for one or more of the following items: t-shirts, long-sleeve tees, hooded sweatshirts, crew neck sweatshirts, zip-up hoodies, tote bags, beanies, dad hats, trucker hats, sweat pants, socks, water bottles, blankets, drawstring bags, and patches.
Promotes mental health, gender inclusion, anti-violence, pride, climate change, social justice, the Camp Wild Heart podcast, or Kate McKinnon (the dog).
Does not have to be a text graphic - you can also submit a no-word design.
You can also do a design that covers the entire product.
Submissions should have no background (we can help you with this if you can’t figure out how to make that happen)
Must be submitted in a jpeg or png format.
Please no swearing or drug references (you should be able to wear it to school without being asked to change)
The design can be front and back but there still needs to be a spot for the Wild Heart Society logo. If you want to include the logo in your design and would like a clean copy of it, you can find it here.
The design must be 100% original artwork to yourself. We’re not trying to get sued.
4th Annual Spooky Soireé
Wild Heart Society is excited to invite you to the fourth annual Spooky Soireé! This is a Halloween/Costume party, so come dressed in your most festive, creepy (or cute!) attire! Come ready to play games, do a scavenger hunt, and strut your stuff in a costume runway extravaganza! Expect hot cider, snacks, and juice boxes. There will be trophies for the winners of the scavenger hunt and the costume runway, but they'll probably be unlike any trophies you've ever seen before!
Art Party
Let’s make some art!
Are your walls at home as blank and boring as ours? Let's fix that together! Come unleash your inner artist at our Art Party. We’ll provide all the supplies, you bring your creativity.
Your masterpieces will not only brighten your day but will also adorn our office walls, adding a splash of color and community spirit to Wild Heart Society.
This event is open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, we'd love to see your unique perspective come to life.
Registration is free! Sign up to receive a reminder via text and email. Let’s make art, make friends, and make our space beautiful!
Summer Retreat for Trans Youth
Registration is OPEN!
Who: Trans youth who are in middle school, high school or just graduated.
What will we be doing: We have a lot planned but part of the planning includes built in downtime. We’ve worked hard to try to balance the amount of new information we’ll be giving you about gender, mental health, art and games with free, unstructured time to spend with your new friends (and yes - you will absolutely make new friends).
Some of the workshops include: gender euphoria, medical transition, self-care, anxiety management, social and communication skills, the art and skill of skin care, boundary setting and holding - and other nerdy things that therapists like to talk about.
Where: We’ll be at Brooks Memorial State Park. We can get you out there in event sponsored transportation, OR you can get yourself out there.
Cost: $400 per person. Payment plans, and limited scholarship opportunities are available.
Why: We love retreats! They’re intense, but leave a long lasting impression. You get the chance to do a lot of growing in a short time. And the best part is EVERYONE who comes leaves with more friends than they arrived with. And the friendships hold up.
If you have any other logistical questions about the retreat, we encourage you to first look over the registration form - it has lots of information. If you still have questions, email us at info@wildheartsociety.org, or if you’re a client at Wild Heart, ask your therapist.
Youth Art Show @ Pride Block Party
What does Joyful Resistance mean to you? So much of what is depicted about the queer experience is negative. We want to show our community that there is so much more to being a queer young person than all of the crap they might see on social media and the news. Please create and submit a piece of artwork that highlights the joyful parts of your life and show them that their negativity and fear-mongering will not erase us.
Submissions can be two or three-dimensional. They should be no larger than 36x36 inches. While it is our goal and hope that all submissions will be able to be a part of the show, we do have limited space. If we do run out of space, we will plan for a second art show to showcase those there was not space for at the Block Party.
This is also an opportunity to advertise yourself as an artist and sell your artwork. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at info@wildheartsociety.org.
Art Show Submission's Due
See the Art Show page for more details on the art show and how to submit.
