Albie Paris, MA

Hi, I’m Albie (he/him)!

My wish for working with you is to provide a space where you feel validated, seen, and understood. I know all too well what it’s like to exist in a world that tells us we’re too much, not enough, or that we don’t quite fit in. My hope for therapy is that you can show up as your whole self, exploring who you are and what you need, without feeling the pressure to shrink yourself.

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, meaning I focus on both the unconscious and conscious forces that shape our thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. At the same time, I believe it’s essential to consider how the world and the communities we live in shape our experiences and wellbeing. When helpful, I also like to introduce skills to support emotion regulation and strengthen relationships.

My background in psychology has been shaped by both my clinical training and my own lived experiences. As a gay, neurospicy individual with ADHD, I understand the challenges of navigating spaces that weren’t built with us in mind. I received my Associate’s degree from Portland Community College, a Bachelor’s from Portland State University, and a Master’s from Pacific University, where I’m now pursuing my PsyD in Clinical Psychology.

Outside of work, I spend my time lounging with my two cats, exploring new cafes, and teaching myself to knit. Living in an overstimulating world, I try to unplug and be intentional when I can, whether that means making my own food, repairing belongings instead of replacing them, or just slowing down to listening to old records.

Specialty and people I am best for: I work with adults 18+ across all life stages, including community Elders. I might be the best fit for individuals seeking a space to explore their emotions, relationships, and identities without judgment. My practice is inclusive of LGBTQIA+ individuals as well as straight and cisgender people. I particularly enjoy working with those navigating complex emotions, relationship challenges, or experiences that may feel “too much” to share elsewhere. I offer an open, sex-positive space to discuss intimacy, desire, and the topics that often feel taboo. Whether you’re processing grief and bereavement, exploring existential questions, struggling with boundaries, or wanting to discuss pleasure, kink, non-traditional relationships, or healthy masculinity, I provide a space where you can bring your whole self.

Telehealth status: Offers both in person and Telehealth (Washington Only)

Supervision: I am working under the clinical supervision of Dr. Bevyn Rowland, Licensed Psychologist.
